This is dad.

Do I see you on the airfield tonight? Gustavo and me got the planks for the Albatros done so far… So we could need your assistance, especially since you gathered and analyzed the blue prints and technical data. So your help would be urgently required. And sure, you can come over with Indy. I know she is already your better half…

But what I wanted to say – thank you for your invitation for Easter holidays. We had plenty of fun so far, and by the way – it was also a good no way to get acquainted to Indy’s parents… How was their name? Aarav and Shanvi?

You haven’t been very much impressed by her dad? Right? One could clearly see, that you have been extremely cautious in his presence. But don’t worry, he isn’t a bad guy.

In fact he is an old army mate, so he is neither romantic, nor is he used to demonstrate emotionality or submission. But I have to say, we had quite a long concersation with him out on your balcony on Sunday – I like him and his point of views. I would consider him as straight forward and disciplined, stern but loyal.

For him – like for any girl’s father around the globe – you still have to prove your value. See it is always the same drama – you put years of work and upbringing in a girl … And the first thing, you will ask yourself, when she meets a boy is – will he treat her well?

I know you will do… But see – Aarav just knows you for hardly a few days. So he can’t guess your personality and affinity for Indy via mere intuition. So just excuse his initial distrust as some kind of caution and taking care for Indy.

In this way he is just a typical dad, being concerned about his daughter… Except that he would also cut your throat, when urged to protect her.  Chuckles.

Okay, Nick, Sue just called. She is coming over for a cup of coffee. If you like you can do to and may be we could hop over to the airfield together, if you and Indy like. How does that sound?

Sounds good to me… So we will head over first to your dad and then to the airfield…? If you like, we can take Isa and your dad with us. She loves the playground over there. So you can work on this scary thing, how was it called? Alpaca? Alabama? Omega? Ah, who cares… You know the rusty, old ramshackle aircraft. And I can hopp over to the playground with Isa, keeping her busy.

Although I also have to confess, that I love to see you working there… Wearing just your Overall… And being smeared with oil… *Purrrrrrrrrrssss…

It is always so lovely to see you working in this outfit, especially when you do your work without t-shirt… *Grinses brightly…

So how would you like to see me today? Long Summerdress and sandals – like a lady, dressed in a proper dress for a woman? Or better something short and sexy? *Grinses even brighter… You decide, sweetie… *smiles

Howdy, baby. Ohhhhh, I love them all – those elegant, but feminine summer dresses, as well as those seductive short cocktail gowns. Especially I like those pink summer dress from Fiore. Do you remember? The one with the red flowers?

And you really like when I work down in the hangar….? This dark shack with the dirty windows, without air condition and mostly consisting of rust? *laughs* To be true after half an hour of being in there, I feel like a sweat drained pic.

But I also have to confess that I like working with dad. Next to the fact that the Albatros Projects is so incredibly motivating. It is like merging with very first days of aviation, as well as becoming part of it.

And yes, I like Fiore. Why do you ask?

Oh, I was just curious, Baby, since half of your wardrobe consist of this brand. It is nice and elegant, but also quite conservative. Yet I have to confess, that I like your casual style better… You know those edgewear pants and Indwear Jacket.

And well those flowers on my fiore dress are roses… Red roses 🙂 so my proposal for today are the Gown and some matching stiletto sandals… The rest you have to find out yourself 🙂 How does that sound…? 🙂

And concerning the time you spent with your dad. I know you both need it for each other. You had pretty bad years after your mom’s death, and you both are trying to get along with that.

And don’t deny know, telling it is different. I know what I hear at nights, when you talk while you are sleeping. And believe me, that are no happy dreams.

So take your time with each other. In the meantime I will keep Isa busy.

Nickolas Mercier

First Officer Nickolas Mercier was born in 2914 on Goss III. His father being a Navy Officer and his mother being a Nurse, he somehow merged with the differing interests in his family. Being sly and educated, well-mannered and long-term oriented, he somehow lacked all qualities necessary for his dream profession: becoming a fighter pilot. Although he learned aeronautics pretty early due to his Dad, Nick showed no sign of evidently necessary combat pilot qualities like intuition, agressivity and tactical focus. So he failed his Navy Combat Pilot Test in 2935. What can be a lack of qualities in one branch was his benefit in another. So he sucessfully passed his test for United Empire of Earth Imperial Center of Cartography in the same year and became Pilot in 23rd Exploration Group. He earned his merits there for being a skilled pilot, serving on an Andromeda Class Vessel in his final stages of service. In 2946 he surprisingly mustered out after his mother´s death and joined Intergalactic Airlines, gaining his Type Rating for Genesis Starliners in 2947 and advancing to management and flight instructor position rapidly. In 2949 he changed his employer and joined Atlas Defense Industry as transportation pilot for roughly a year. Prefering a career in civil aerospace transportation though, he skipped to Extensive Enterprises becoming Chief Pilot in 2950. Due to his experience in Starline Operation he was nominated as Interim Operations Manager for Swift Starlines - a small semi-bancrupt passenger and cargo transportation company in the same year, effectively managing to lead the company out of it´s financial within a year.
