It is me, Indy. I just heard, your trip home will be delayed for three weeks. Somehow I am sad and disappointed now, I was hoping that we could spend some time together until you vanish to the flight deck again. But well, it shouldn’t be. 

But anyway, maybe you would like to meet next weekend at Crusader. I will be there for two days until I will head back to Goss System. But of course I understand if you are too busy with your courses… It is just… Well, just that I miss you so much.

Hello dear,

it is me, Nick. Of course I would love to see you on Crusader. And do not worry – You aren’t like glue. In fact I love to have you around all the day. And I mean it this way. Big promise.

I know I neither have been fair nor nice to you by making a secret out of our liaison. I am sorry for that.

Somehow I was worried about negative implications of our partnership for our employer and for the colleagues. You know we are both new in the stable. And I don’t want to cause problems for anyone, especially you.

But anyway, I think I want to be fair to you, since I also know and feel how much you suffer from those affair.

So my proposal:

1. Why not outing ourself as couple?

2. Why not stopping to look for a separate apartment for you? I mean, I know that you aren’t the richest person on earth, and even a medium class apartment on Goss can easily swallow half of your income. So Instead you could live in my loft, and we could try out how things were working outside the cockpit and cabin.

What do you think about that?

Well, it is me, Sue – your younger sister. I hope, you still know what that means after two months of spacecraft training. 

Well, I heard that you and Indy were moving together. Whewwww, that was a surprise. But me and my girls found it cool too. As said, you both are quite cute together. And little Isa is also mad for Indy already. Both get along with each other excellent, also taking away some pressure from dad’s shoulders. Mom’s death struck him heard, but still he hides it completely. So in my opinion you did the right thing, Nicky.

Well, but there is one thing that you should really care about. Not that your loft isn’t nice or so. But one can really see that you never lived together with a girlfriend. So, maybe a cabinet for shoes would be fine. I know, you only have two pair of shoes, and those fit right in the corridor. Well, but most women have 1 pairs plus. And Indy has around 30 pairs. (by the way, we have the same size of shoes, and she sometimes lends me her stilettos. Beams brightly) So in my opinion a dresser in your entry corridor would be fine. Ah, yes, and may be a dressing mirror would be fine too. You know, the thing where you can see yourself in from head to feed.

And well, the bathroom could also need some female friendly touches. Something like a hanging cabinet with mirrors. You know, the thing where you can store cosmetics in. Or maybe also hangers for more than one towel.

So, anyway. What I want to say with it, is: Indy and me will head over to ‘Livin’ Furniture Inc. ’ today to get some additional stuff for your apartment. Is it okay that we take your Aegis for shopping?

Howdy Nick, we just arrived at your loft. I took Indy to some other furniture stores this morning. So far we got most things together. Now you have four towel racks in your bathroom, instead of two, and a hanging bathroom cabinet for storing cosmetics. We also got a nice dresser for Indy’s shoes. Don’t bother your two pair of shoes can stay where they are… At the floor.

By the way – a guy from your airline is helping is to put them together, how is his name again? Anyway, he is cute. May be you can tell me more about him later.

Anyway, and please keep in mind that Indy paid all the stuff herself, although she has half of your income only. So if you want Gabailoni Furniture feel free to buy them on own expenses later. Indy logically has not that much money… Unlike you.

Hello baby, it is me, Nick. I just received my flight schedule this morning. And it is going home tomorrow. So I am looking forward to see you again. Actually I am taking a new Genesis to Goss System together with some Intergalactic Airlines Engineers and captains. It is the new model 14 variant. So the airline wants to check it’s performance with during the first two flights. Will be a nice smooth flight without cargo and passengers. Anyway, The rest of the trips will proceed normally – fully staffed, together with passengers and cargo.

According to the flight plan I should be in Goss again in early June. I hope you feel a bit comfortable at your new home. I know, 55 square meters are not that much. But for me it was quite enough for all those years. And I guess it is also fine for two persons at least for a while.

I also heard from Sue that you were buisy shopping for furniture. Dear, feel free to make your new home as hospitable and nice as you want to have it too. As long as my office stays the way it is, all is fine.

Anyway, my beauty. I am looking forward to see you soon.

Nickolas Mercier

First Officer Nickolas Mercier was born in 2914 on Goss III. His father being a Navy Officer and his mother being a Nurse, he somehow merged with the differing interests in his family. Being sly and educated, well-mannered and long-term oriented, he somehow lacked all qualities necessary for his dream profession: becoming a fighter pilot. Although he learned aeronautics pretty early due to his Dad, Nick showed no sign of evidently necessary combat pilot qualities like intuition, agressivity and tactical focus. So he failed his Navy Combat Pilot Test in 2935. What can be a lack of qualities in one branch was his benefit in another. So he sucessfully passed his test for United Empire of Earth Imperial Center of Cartography in the same year and became Pilot in 23rd Exploration Group. He earned his merits there for being a skilled pilot, serving on an Andromeda Class Vessel in his final stages of service. In 2946 he surprisingly mustered out after his mother´s death and joined Intergalactic Airlines, gaining his Type Rating for Genesis Starliners in 2947 and advancing to management and flight instructor position rapidly. In 2949 he changed his employer and joined Atlas Defense Industry as transportation pilot for roughly a year. Prefering a career in civil aerospace transportation though, he skipped to Extensive Enterprises becoming Chief Pilot in 2950. Due to his experience in Starline Operation he was nominated as Interim Operations Manager for Swift Starlines - a small semi-bancrupt passenger and cargo transportation company in the same year, effectively managing to lead the company out of it´s financial within a year.
